KOI FISH TATTOOS

I really love this Koi fish tattoo. It mixes dark shades of blue with lighter shades of blue. I have seen many Koi fish tattoos but they are usually red, orange or yellow. Occasionally you’ll see one that is a light blue, but even that is pretty unusual. And you see very few, if any, which are in the darker shades of the color spectrum. I think that makes it even more unique of a design. Koi fish tattoos are as varied and as popular as the animal they represent. Koi tattoo designs are often combined with splashing water, cherry blossom and lotus flowers. Koi fish are a type of carp that the Japanese have bred over many generations to produce the brilliantly colored ornamental fish that we know today. The symbolism behind the Koi tattoo is generally thought to be one of luck and/or good fortune. Interestingly, the Japanese assign different symbolic meanings to the fish depending upon the way it behaves, either in the pond or in the wild. The Chinese, on the other hand, have a very special interpretation of koi fish in general. The Chinese koi is also associated with life-long good fortune. A koi tattoo will bring you wealth and abundance according to many different Asian sources.
